GLENN PRAY GROUP NEWSLETTER JULY 2011

Everything is settling down here in Broken Arrow. The Factory is still selling parts, and we are still buying and selling a few cars.

Doug Pray is now the President of the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Company, and I'm still working the parts. The Family seems to have most things under control.

We plan to go to Auburn this year to Honor Glenn. So if you can come and help Honor him, that would be GREAT. The dates this year (2011) are Sept 1 (Thursday to Sunday) Sept 4th. We have rooms at the Holiday Inn Express, in Kendallville, In. Its about 9 miles North west of Auburn. The Rates start at $126 non-refundable, and $136 refundable. The address is 1917 Dowling St, Kendallville, In. Local phone 260 343 0000. If you book on line at the Holiday Inn Website, you will get the rates above. We have about 30 people so far, that I know of going to Auburn.

We have a place to have an early Dinner on Friday, before we go downtown and gather in the streets. If you plan to go, please e-mail, or call me so we can have a head count.

I'll have a spot in the swap meet on Friday morning to sell a few Auburn and Cord Parts behind the Museum.

We plan to do our Glenn Pray Car Show in May or June 2012. Sorry I have not sent News- letters out, but sometimes no news is better than the news you have to give out. At times when you are that close to what happened its hard to talk or write about it for a while.

The Family is going to sell the following cars of Glenn's. If interested, it would be cheaper to buy them here in Broken Arrow, than at the Auction in Auburn on Labor Day Weekend. The 36 Cord Westchester, original, the 32 Auburn Speedster that Glenn Built, the L-29 Cord that Glenn Built, the 40 Ford with the Jaguar Engine, that was Walt Carlton's car, he was our Engineer. They have 898 Auburn Cab, that has been restored. For information and pictures on these cars, call or e-mail me. Also, if you have a Glenn Pray Auburn or Cord, I have a buyer looking for one. I know of a Nice Samco that is for sale.

I bought a 69 Mustang Conv. for my wife, but she can drive it, She can't see over the dash. I guess I will have to buy her a 65, the dashes were lower. This car has V-8, Automatic, Power Steering, power brakes, POWER TOP. It has new paint, interior, top, tires, and I think the engine was rebuilt not very long ago. The paint on the block still looks fresh. The car drives good.

If anyone has any questions on the cars, Auburn, or anything else, feel free to e-mail or call me. E-mail address is felixdegeyter@yahoo.com and cell phone 918 812 4070, home 918 251 3500 and ACD Factory 918 251 3161.

Hope everyone is Having Fun, as Glenn would say, and see if you can come to the Auburn Meet this year if not we'll see you in May or June of 2012.

Thanks
