Glenn Pray Auburn Cord Newsletter April 2009

We just returned from the ACD Texas Meet in Oklahoma City. We had a great time. The meet was hosted by the Waken's, and they did a great job. After the meet, we had about 20 members come to Broken Arrow, and visited the factory and had lunch with Glenn Pray. All had a good time.

Here's the information on the Glenn Pray Show for June 12th and 13th 2009. We have room reservations at the Cherokee Casino - Resort. The Resort is located at I-44 and 193rd east ave, in Tulsa. Their local phone number is 918 384 7800. The rates for the rooms are $49 for Thursday and $59 for Friday and Saturday nights. You can call 1 800 760 7600 or visit the Internet at www.cherokeecasino.com to make reservations. Attendees should request the group rate for 'The Glenn Pray Auburn Cord Group 2009", or if using the Internet use the group code Glen061109 for the group rate. The cut off date is May 12, 2009 for the group rate. They are having 14 other activities going on at the same time, so make your reservations early.

We plan to do a Swap Meet on Friday at the ACD Factory. For those that want to look for parts, bring your flash light. Glenn and Doug Pray said we can let those who want to look for parts, can go back to the ACD Bins and see what they can find. The Swap meet will be from 9 am to Noon. Downtown Broken Arrow has lots of Antiques stores for the Gals who don't want to look for parts. At 2 pm we can display the cars at the Quick Trip Center, (Tulsa Fair Grounds) until dark. The Leake Auction will be going on inside the Quick Trip Center. Richard Sevenoaks has invited us into the Auction and then around 6 or 7 pm join them for Happy Hour and etc.

On Saturday we will have tours of the ACD Factory and Show the cars at the factory. Glenn Pray and Family will be here to visit and conduct the tours. In the Afternoon we will have several places you can go and see in the Tulsa area. Saturday evening we will have Dinner and Awards Banquet with Glenn and his Family. We'll have a auction of some of Glenn's goodies. This meet is to have fun.

The Factory will have new look by the time you get here. We will have a new restoration shop moved in (We Hope) and finished. There are several other things going on that will be of interest to the world. You might want to be here for the announcement.

Glenn is doing better. He is back living at home, with his wife. She has 24 hour care, but that way they both are being cared for.

We have helped 3 cars so far this year. There are 2 Cords 8/10's that are for sale. If you want any information on them, you can call or e-mail me.

As they say on TV, COME ON DOWN, and lets have some fun. This will be the 49th years since Glenn bought and moved the Factory to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

Call or e-mail me if you have any questions. Please let me know if you plan to attend.

Thanks
